CAIRO, July 24: The Egyptian Olympic football team starts their journey in the 2024 Olympic Games by facing the Dominican national team, in the kick-off of the third group competitions of the “Paris 2024” Olympic Games.

The Egyptian Olympic team, led by its Brazilian coach Rogero Micale, is seeking to achieve victory over the Dominican team in order to obtain the first three points in the third group, enhancing its chances of grabbing one of the two qualification tickets for the quarter-finals, especially since the next two confrontations against Uzbekistan and Spain will not be easy.

The Olympic team concluded its preparations to face the Dominican Republic in the city of Nantes in the first round of Group C at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, by performing light training, during which the team’s technical director, Micali, put the final touches to the formation and plan.

The Olympic team played two friendly trials in preparation for the Paris Olympics in the French city of Bordeaux against the national teams of Ukraine and Iraq. They tied in the first match 1-1 and won in the second against their Iraqi counterpart 2-1.
